Minutes of the mozilla.org Staff Meeting of Tuesday 20th January 2004
Monday January 26th, 2004
The minutes of the mozilla.org staff meeting of Tuesday 20th January 2004 are now online. Issues discussed include Mozilla 1.6 feedback, the 1.6 CD, Mozilla 1.7 Alpha and adding more future milestones to Bugzilla.
I've always wondered... no big deal, but... Why are these "minutes of mozilla.org staff meetings" always published after a week (or two) ? Just because of lack of time to publish, or is there a purpose to it?
My guess would be one of the following:
(a) they only publish the minutes after they have been approved at the subsequent meeting. If you do everything by the book, minutes are not official until they have been approved.
(b) the minutes are posted privately to the attendants, and after everyone agrees that everything confidential has been removed, the minutes are posted publically. The delays are most likely due to people getting side tracked in this case.
#4 Time to propogate to groups.google.com?

Takes time for them to get from the newsgroup server to groups.google.com as well AFAIK
The minutes are "by Gervase Markham" yet signed by Marcia, or maybe I missed something?
I think Marcia actually writes up the minutes, but Gerv is the one to post them to the newsgroup. Why that is, I couldn't say :).
Chatzilla in 1.6 never connects for me to the bugday channel. I'm behind a firewall, but it used to work with Mozilla 1.4. Anyone have some hints?
