MozillaNews has an interview with David Ascher, the tech lead for ActiveState Komodo. Komodo is a Mozilla-based IDE for Linux and Windows that allows developers to work with Perl, PHP, Python, Tcl, XSLT and other programming technologies.

I didn't look at the code for the line at <>, but I don't know if that's necessary a negative thing. I've found that 1.1 renders a lot of sites either better or more like the author would've ended depending on your view.

I was one of the first people to use Multizilla and I just assumed that the natural behavior would be to append the tabs at the end. I was shocked when I went there the first time and lost my place in all my web pages. And when I woke up in the morning and wanted to read my news tab and my baseball tab, I had to have to browser windows open. I could have combined them into one tab, but once football season starts I'd have to edit my news+baseball tab again. I don't mind starting my day clicking two or tab groups (hey I'd have to do that and open new windows in between anyway). All that said, I think it should be an option in the preferences, but I think it's current behavior should be the default.
