Mozilla Thunderbird 126.96.36.199 Released
Thursday July 12th, 2007
Mozilla Thunderbird 188.8.131.52 was released on Thursday 14th June. This update to the Mozilla Corporation's mail client includes bug fixes but no new features. For the first time, this release of Thunderbird is available in Korean.
The Thunderbird 184.108.40.206 section of the Mozilla Foundation Security Advisories page includes details about the security flaws fixed in this release while The Rumbling Edge has a complete Thunderbird 220.127.116.11 changelog. More general details can be found in the Thunderbird 18.104.22.168 Release Notes.
This is the first minor update to Thunderbird 2 since the launch of Thunderbird 22.214.171.124 in April; the version number was selected to match that of the latest Mozilla Firefox release.
The older Thunderbird 1.5 will continue to be supported until Thursday 18th October this year. Thunderbird 126.96.36.199 was released last month with the same security fixes as 188.8.131.52.
While Thunderbird 184.108.40.206 can be downloaded from the Thunderbird product page, most existing Thunderbird 2 users will have received it via the software update mechanism built in to the program.

I first heard rumblings about MozillaZine's spam problem well over 18 months ago, and I fail to understand why it still hasn't been dealt with. There's no excuse for that. FattMattP has a point about MozillaZine news being a joke, because it is. It's embarrassing when software updates are reported on well after the fact (the TB 220.127.116.11 update is a perfect example). I learn more about what's going on by browsing the forums then going to MZ's home page. To say the latter is out of date would be an understatement.
