SeaMonkey 1.0.6 and SeaMonkey 1.1 Beta Released

Seamonkey 1.0.6, a security and stability update for the all-in-one Internet Suite has been released. The Seamonkey 1.0.6 Release Notes have more information.

SeaMonkey 1.1 Beta, a version aimed at developers and testers has also been released. New features include tab previews, spell check, an e-mail tagging system, an improved Linux startup script, better new mail notifications and an updated Chatzilla IRC client. ...for the same reason that Firefox 2 isn't called Firefox 1.8.1, even though it's based on the version of Gecko that would have been called Mozilla Suite 1.8.1 if it the suite hadn't been retired?

Its a version number, they're half targets used by developers and half fancy names used by marketeers, very few of them make sense, and they're rarely carried between products, even if they're related.
