Welcome to MozillaZine

by MOZINE ADMINISTRATOR | MozillaZine materialized out of a need for a central site for Mozilla advocacy. More and more people want to get their hands on Mozilla builds, or find out more about what's in the pipeline for inclusion in the next Mozilla release. MozillaZine aims to remedy this situation. We hope to have links to the latest builds of Mozilla for as many platforms as possible, as well as builds of third party projects currently in development.

How are XML and RDF being incorporated into Mozilla? What's the status of the new layout engine? What projects need your support? We plan to have information about all the new features in Mozilla, as well as interviews with module owners and project managers.

However, we can't do it alone. MozillaZine is a labor of love, but we just don't have the time to devote to intensive article gathering and opining on the state of the Moz. If you have information on a module or project that needs more publicity, if you need coders to help you, if you have opinions on Mozilla that you feel are worth sharing, please do so. We accept links to project sites, advocacy articles or interviews, or links to industry news articles about Mozilla. Just click on submitArticle on the navbar.

If you are looking for the latest binary for your platform, check out fetchBuilds. We may just have what you're looking for.

And finally, feel free to vent your spleen about the site or Mozilla in talk.

MozillaZine is still in a rather atavistic state, so feel free to talk back in the forums and tell us what you'd like to see us do. Things might just go terribly wrong after a week or two, so be prepared for some downtime along the way. We hope that the bugs are minimal, and that you enjoy your time at MozillaZine. Stop back often, and please contribute!

For the curious, mozillaZine runs on Linux, a free OS, which runs Apache, a free web server. The site is maintained by a combination of PHP3, a free hypertext preprocessor, and MySQL, a free database engine. They're all open source (as if you didn't already know that!)
