mozdev Celebrates Third Anniversary

On September 20th mozdev.org celebrates its third anniversary. The site was launched in 2000 and since then has been growing to support the Mozilla application developer community. There are currently over 130 active projects hosted on the site (over 400 projects total have been started when counting inactive and abandoned projects). Site traffic has also been increasing to the point where we are now averaging well over 1 million page views a week.

In the past year we have also initiated a donation program that has enabled us to upgrade the hardware used for the site and to move to a professional hosting facility. Our goal is to continue raising funds as needed to keep the site fully community supported and to also make the site community owned by creating a non-profit organization with tax-exempt status. Thanks again to everyone who has helped us get this far with the ongoing evolution of the site and the community.

Stop by the site this week and help us celebrate our prestigious leather anniversary. (I personally am waiting for 2009 so that we can celebrate mozdev's Willow or Pottery anniversary...)
