Quick Note 0.2d is now available and includes Sidebar support, a toolbar icon for launching QN plus alternate toolbar icons. Check out the site for more information.

JS Console Update

(JavaScript code console)

By Daniel Fournier

JS Console version 1.1 has been released. It brings a major improvement: the Unit test panel. This is the implementation of an assertion unit package ala JUnit, to report any assertion failure in the code. This functionality enables Test First Design development with JavaScript. To ease the use of an external editor to write code before running it in JS Console, keyboard shortcuts for fast reload and save have been added.

HON Update

(Collection of Mozilla / Netscape plugins for HON)

by Thierry

SmoothWheel Update

(Mouse wheel scrolls smoothly (similar to IE))

By Avi Halachmi

SmoothWheel has been updated to v0.32 (minor update) and it now works in Mozilla Thunderbird and the Help window (Mozilla/Netscape). It also has improved compatibility with Mozilla-Firebird 0.6.1 and Mozilla Thunderbird 0.1.

Books Update

(Creating Applications with Mozilla book project)

By David Boswell

There has been some talk lately on the reviewers@mozdev.org list about updating the content of the Creating Applications with Mozilla book to be current with the latest Mozilla release and to include information about the new XUL toolkit. Would people be interested in an updated version of the book? Is anyone interested in helping update the content? How much should be changed — just minor updates or major revisions? If you have thoughts on this, stop by the list and let us know what you're thinking.

mozdev Update

(Free project hosting site for Mozilla applications and extensions)

By David Boswell

I wanted to send out a reminder to all project owners about using the mirrors to host all download files. Our bandwidth usage has been increasing lately which means increased hosting costs. The best way to deal with this is for all owners to make sure they are using the download mirrors. To learn more about how to place files on the mirror network and how to access them once they are there, take a look at the Posting Files to the Download Mirrors documentation. Thanks to everyone for your help with keeping our hosting costs under control.

MultiZilla Update

(Tab-based browsing feature for Mozilla)

By HJ van Rantwijk

We're back and...

The MultiZilla project might have looked stalled, but that's only because HJ was on job assignment, but I'm back ;)

Team members

Raj, our webmaster, is on holidays until August 12. You might have noticed the lack of updates in recent visits but that will change when he returns.

Neil, is still on holidays and lost his car recently, including all his gear and notebook, so a lot of you will have missed him too, but he is back and is making good progress in getting everything back up.

1.5 best version ever!

We have had several updates over the last couple of days, thanks to everybody who helped with testing, filing bug reports and verifying bug fixes. Thanks people, we can't do it without your help.

Mozilla

Tons and tons of mozilla source code while I was away, so I had to do a lot of updating for MultiZilla.

Netscape 7.1 support

The good thing about Netscape 7.1 is that it is now based on Mozilla 1.4, so we support it with with MultiZilla 1.5.x.x(x).

Mozilla Firebird

We don't support Firebird yet, but I hope to fix that after being sure that all updates and changes are fully functional. The most important thing is that we seriously need new PNG images for the toolbar buttons. Drop me a note if you can help us.

Oh, before I forget, GoogleBox 1.1 will be available this week... It solves the missing menu items bug.
