Jabberzilla Update (Jabber IM client for Mozilla)
by Eric Murphy

I'm working on the Jabberzilla client again, now that I have been taking a break from working on the Jabberzilla Whiteboard (which is broke in the latest Mozilla SVG builds). Right now I am porting the Jabberzilla code to run in a signed JAR that a user can load right from the server. In essence, there will be a version of Jabberzilla that you won't have to install! Keep an eye out for news at jabberzilla.mozdev.org.

Bookie Update (Advanced bookmark management database)
by Will Sargent

I've pretty much finished the Java server and client, and have updated the Bookie site with the latest code, along with instructions on how to use it. It's still alpha quality code, but it seems to all work and has more importantly, has minimum installation hassle.

I will be trying to get a permanent bookmark server at Terse Systems up and running, and then after that I intend to see what state Mozilla's XML-RPC code is in.

Sorry for not updating frequently, but I figured it was better to speak up only when I had something to show. :-)

MultiZilla Update (The first tabbed browser UI for mozilla)
by HJ van Rantwijk

You all know that Mozilla heads for the official 1.0 release, and so do we. MultiZilla will release it's first beta ever, very soon. So please visit our website to test drive MultiZilla, remember, we need your feedback. Make sure you have Mozilla RC1/RC2 up and running.

Work in progress
It took me some time to dig trough all mozilla code changes. At start it really looked impossible to do. If tons of code had changed over time. And I was only away for two months (Navy Officer).

What has changed
In fact a lot. I did a complete rewrite of MultiZilla. Some parts are now developed in XML/XBL. Other part are not yet converted but will follow later. Not everything is up and running yet, but what do you expect for only two weeks of hard work.

XPInstallation
I just finished my work on the new XPInstallation file for MultiZilla. I am looking forward to hear from you, new and current MultiZilla users.

mozdev Update (Mozilla-based project hosting site)
by David Boswell

Earlier this week we updated Bugzilla on mozdev to version of Bugzilla 2.14.1 from a version of Bugzilla that was around 2 years old. We have also been working on upgrading the site to a new server and hope to have more information out about that soon. To find out more about what's going on, come by the mozdev channel.

Editor Update (XUL widget that allows for WYSIWYG HTML editing)
by Eric Hodel

While this isn't a status update for my project, I have started a tutorial on how to use the <editor> widget.

CaScadeS Update (A stylistic add-on to Composer)
by Daniel Glazman

In the 0.1.1 version of CaScadeS we've:

  • completed border properties panel
  • added Block borders menu item
  • added Block borders demo
  • added to code the ability to modify inline styles attached through a STYLE attribute to any element
  • Anchors menu items added allowing to set styles for anchors, visited anchors, hovered anchors
  • Cancel button easily added to all dialogs but the full powered CSS editor
  • started adding Position/Overflow/Clip properties and a Layer menu item
  • started working on the major restriction of those menu items right now: instead of considering all the innermost blocks contained or partially contained in the selection, they only consider for the moment the innermost block containing the start of the selection
