CaScadeS Update (A stylesheet editor for Composer)
by Daniel Glazman

The CaScadeS project has just been started on mozdev. CaScadeS is a stylesheet editor for Composer that is written in XUL and Javascript. There is a version available to install and try out, but it will require a relatively new version of Mozilla to work.

Hermes Update (Adding web mail support to sidebar)
by Azrael

Work on the next generation of Hermes is still taking place. Anyone good with XUL please contact us to assist.

The Hermes website has a new section, called 'Hermes on tour' which contains action images of Hermes in use all over the world... well... currently just in Australia... but anyone with some images of Hermes in use (photos of the machine using it... not just screenshots) please submit :)

mozdev Update (Mozilla-based project hosting site)
by David Boswell

Last week's announcement of the return of Aphrodite is a great example of a successful project adoption. Some other projects that are available for adoption include Fabula, Script Editor and XULMaker.

There is an adoption category on mozdev that lists all projects that have been made available by project owners who are no longer able to maintain development. If you are interested in putting your project up for adoption or in taking over one of these projects, please contact me.

MozBlog Update (Mozilla -> Blogger component)
by Mike Lee

Since the last update, MozBlog has undergone a face lift and added three features. It now sports a side panel where the previous post now lives.

  • The panel also have a clipboard for holding notes.
  • Mozblog can also spellcheck now, if you install the spellchecker addon for mozilla.
  • Link insertion is also greatly improved, you can now drag and drop link over a text selection and have the link wrapped around it.

The shortcut key is now Alt + `, however I have people telling me its an issue with international keyboards, so I am up for some suggestions.

Thank you! :)
